After a strong start, Hollywood Casino Perryville's revenue moderated in November, generating $7.6 million, or $168.64 daily per machine.
The daily revenue last month is lower than October's take, which averaged $245 daily per machine during the first full month of operation, the Maryland Lottery announced Monday. The Cecil County casino, which remains the state's sole slots parlor with 1,500 machines, opened in late September, generating higher-than-expected revenue.
Officials with the Perryville casino had cautioned that the higher revenue at the beginning, fueled by the excitement surrouning the opening, would level off. The fourth quarter is generally a slow period in the industry.
In total, the casino has generated $21 million since its Sept. 27 opening. The facility averaged $215.99 daily per machine during that period.
