Bill Seccurro, president of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, the largest such organization in the state with more than 1,200 members, will retire at the end of the year.
He joined the chamber in 2000, after serving for nearly 35 years with the Harford County Public Schools, the last 18 years as supervisor of career and technology education. Members credit him with bringing financial and staff stability to the organization. Five years into his tenure, he retired the chamber's mortgage on its office building in Bel Air.
The chamber's board has formed a search committee to find a successor to fill this top leadership position.
