A Hunt Valley office building has been named one of the region's first multi-tenant structures to be recognized for environmentally sensitive renovation. Schilling Green, at 230 Schilling Circle in Hunt Valley, has been certified "LEED-CS Platinum" by the U. S. Green Building Council, the organization's highest ranking for renovated buildings that meet its standards for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Merritt Properties is the owner and developer of the building, which was constructed in 1980 and renovated in 2008. George Vaeth and Associates was the architect for the renovations. The U.S. Green Building Council Maryland will move its headquarters to the building in July. Other tenants include Altradius Trade Credit, General Electric Capital, Grotech Ventures and Vision Technology Services.
