ITT Corp. has chosen Hanover as the site of a new information technology facility that will create 90 jobs during the next four years and serve the company's offices worldwide, Anne Arundel County officials said Monday. The company's Information Technology Global Center of Excellence will open Aug. 1 in Arundel Mills Corporate Park. The Maryland county competed with five potential sites, including locations in New York and Colorado, and was chosen in part because of its proximity to Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and an array of hotels, officials said. The facility will allow White Plains, N.Y.,-based ITT, a high-technology engineering and manufacturing firm, to centralize its IT and training function and expand its presence in Maryland, where it employs 600 people. - Lorraine Mirabella
