Unclaimed $1M Mega Millions lottery ticket bought in Maryland expires next week

An unclaimed $1 million winning lottery ticket expires next week. (JED KIRSCHBAUM, Baltimore Sun)

A Maryland Lottery player who has yet to claim a $1 million winning ticket has less than a week to come forward before it expires.

No one has laid claim to the Mega Millions prize from a June 26 drawing. The ticket expires on Dec. 25, but because the expiration date falls on a holiday, the ticket must be claimed by 4:15 p.m. Dec. 24.
