Lindsey Vonn promotes Under Armour's Project Rock line with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Former world champion skier Lindsey Vonn is teaming up with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in promoting his line of Under Armour training gear.

Vonn, a longtime Under Armour-sponsored athlete, became the Baltimore sportswear maker’s first ambassador to join Johnson in promoting the training line.

Sporting a black jacket emblazoned with Project Rock’s bull logo and the phrase “Iron Paradise,” Vonn announced the move in a video posted to her Instagram account.

"I am so excited to be on team Project Rock,” Vonn said in a statement. “What I find so inspiring about Dwayne is that he always gives 110 percent in everything that he does. He basically stands for 100 percent authenticity and 100 percent effort."

Vonn, 34, announced her retirement from competitive Alpine skiing last month, but Under Armour kept her on its roster of sponsored athletes.

Vonn visited Under Armour headquarters in Baltimore on Feb. 26 to discuss her future with the company after her retirement, meeting with executives as well as fans from two high school ski clubs.

Under Armour launched Project Rock with Johnson, an actor and former wrestler, in the spring of 2017. The line includes men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories ranging from hats to headphones.

Project Rock’s newest collection will be available online and in stores March 21.
