A man working on a ship loaded with dumpsters at the port of Baltimore was injured Monday morning after falling about 15 feet into one of the dumpsters, according to Maryland Transportation Authority Police.
A special rescue team under the Baltimore City Fire Department was dispatched to the scene in the 2700 block of Broening Highway, city emergency officials said.
The man, a 36-year-old union employee, suffered a broken arm, said 1st Sgt. Glend McGuire, an MdTA Police spokesman. The man was conscious and alert following the fall, McGuire said.
