The Center Club, the members-only business and dining club, elected a former IBM executive as its president and six new board members, the group announced Monday.
Patricia J. Mitchell, who worked at IBM for 30 years and retired as its vice president of global sales operations, will be the organization's second woman president.
"We look forward to The Center Club continuing to help create an even better Baltimore," Mitchell said in a statement.
The organization also elected Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. CEO Calvin Butler as first vice president, MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services senior vice president Mark Deering as secretary, and Yaffe and Co. senior consultant Bonnie Phipps as treasurer.
The organization also elected six new board members: Anirban Basu, Sage Policy Group chairman and CEO; Bradley Chambers, president of Union Memorial and Good Samaritan hospitals and senior vice president of MedStar Health; Kirby Fowler, president of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore; Rachel Monroe, president and CEO of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation; Shelonda Stokes, president and CEO of greiBO Media; and Stacey Ullrich, head of global philanthropy at Under Armour.
The Center Club is on the 15th and 16th floors of 100 Light Street.
