Air Canada and Spirit Airlines passengers at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will soon be able to fly nonstop to Montreal, Denver and Montego Bay, Jamaica, the airport announced Wednesday.
Spirit will begin offering flights to Denver and Montego Bay on March 22, and Air Canada will launch service to Montreal beginning May 17. Both airlines plan to offer the flights daily and year-round.
One-way nonstop ticket prices to Montreal were listed starting at $215 on aircanada.com. Flights to Jamaica are listed as low as $184.99 and flights to Denver were listed at $135.19 on spirit.com. Spirit listed lower prices through its $9 Fare Club, which costs members $59.95 per year.
Spirit also announced new year-round nonstop service between Tampa, Fla., and Los Angeles; Tampa and Las Vegas; and Orlando, Fla., and Las Vegas. It also said it would begin seasonal flights at Seattle and Detroit.
"We are excited to celebrate our growth in these key markets and offer even more ultra-low fares to some of our guests' favorite destinations," said Mark Kopczak, vice president of network planning at Spirit. “We know these new nonstop flights will bring more friends together and allow more families to go on vacation."
Montego Bay is Spirit’s second international destination from BWI, which now offers service to nearly 90 domestic and international destinations across.
“We welcome these new flights which provide our passengers with more travel options, and we welcome further growth and success here,” said Ricky Smith, executive director of BWI Marshall Airport.
