The women's business networking group Network 2000 has changed its name to Executive Alliance and added the tagline "A Catalyst for Women Leaders in Maryland."
Network 2000 was established in 1993 to raise awareness for the need for more women executives and board members. The new name is meant to reflect the organization's expanded focus on advocacy, education and mentorship for women business professionals.
"Our new name conveys more clearly the makeup of our membership as executive leaders and promotes the collaborative nature of our work," said Ann Quinn, the organization's president.
