BGE to start utility roadwork on Russell St. next week

Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. said Tuesday that it will close lanes on Russell Street and nearby city roads beginning Oct. 7 to move underground utilities, work it says is needed to accommodate construction of the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore.

BGE said its work on Russell Street between Haines and Worcester streets will "continue in segments" through July, scheduled Monday through Saturday outside of rush-hour stretches and suspended during games and other events at M&T Bank Stadium. The company will be closing lanes in both directions, including center lanes.
