Dennis Smith Jr., the ninth overall pick in the NBA Draft, has joined fellow 2017 draftee Josh Jackson in signing with Under Armour.
The signings reflect the importance to Under Armour of signing fresh basketball talent.
Smith, of the Dallas Mavericks, was a standout in the recent NBA summer league and Jackson, of the Phoenix Suns, was the fourth overall pick in the draft.
"Dennis plays the game with a chip on his shoulder while his competitive spirit aligns with everything Under Armour basketball represents: aggressive, young and fearless," said Kris Stone, Under Armour's senior director of global sports marketing for basketball, in a news release.
Under Armour also signed a third player from the draft's first round -- Terrance Ferguson of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
