The local office of the international engineering firm Kimley-Horn Associates Inc. plans to add to its space at McHenry Row as the 20-acre mixed-used project in Locust Point continues to expand.

The firm will relocate its office and 20 engineering professionals in the fall into McHenry Row III, a five-story, 75,000-square-foot building under construction in the complex on Fort Avenue from another building where it's been since 2015.

Officials cited proximity to Interstate 95 and the "walkable" amenities in the project, developed by Mark Sapperstein's 28 Walker Development, that includes a Harris Teeter grocery store, multiple restaurants and bars, and apartments. A 128-room Marriott Courtyard is also under construction, as well as another parking garage.

In all, the project now contains nearly 500 apartments, 300,000 square feet of office space and more than 110,000 square feet of retail space and three parking garages.

Other tenants include Under Armour, Gilbane Construction, Maryland Auto Insurance Fund, Martin-Lauer Associates, Mindgrub, Videology, GKV and the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
