Baltimore sustainable development plan to be released

BALTIMORE (AP) — A regional plan for sustainable development in Baltimore is scheduled to be released.

The plan is being released Monday. It represents the first-ever comprehensive regional plan to bring together workforce development, transportation and housing.

The plan is being released by the Opportunity Collaborative, a consortium that includes local governments, state agencies, universities and nonprofit organizations.

The co-chairs of the collaborative are William Cole, president and CEO of the Baltimore Development Corporation, and Scot Spencer, of the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

The release marks the culmination of three years of work.
