Southwest Airlines will offer direct flights between Sacramento and Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport beginning this summer, the company announced Thursday.
The new route will debut Aug. 7, with one-way tickets starting at $159, the Dallas-based airline said.
It was one of seven new routes Southwest unveiled Thursday. Others include several flights in and out of Los Angeles, including a Pittsburgh flight from Los Angeles International Airport and flights to Portland, Ore., from LA/Ontario International Airport near San Bernardino, Calif., and Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Calif. It also added flights between San Diego and Milwaukee; Nashville, Tenn., and Charlotte, N.C.; and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Nassau, the Bahamas.
Promotial, one-way fares are available until Feb. 25 at 11:59 p.m. on all those flights, the airline said.
The announcement came as Southwest extended flight-booking availability through Nov. 4.
