Southwest Airlines will launch daily round-trip service starting March 7 from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Costa Rica, the carrier's first Central American destination.
Southwest on Friday announced an initial schedule for flights into Juan Santa Maria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica, the most visited Central American country. The Dallas-based carrier, BWI's largest, has flights available for booking from March 7 through April 6.
By the end of the year Southwest will fly between the U.S. and eight international destinations in five countries, including three Caribbean destinations that were added in July.
