Southwest Airlines announced Wednesday it plans to add new seasonal flights to Boston, Denver, Seattle, Portland, Maine, New Orleans and Minneapolis, Minn., from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
The flights, which will be available between August and November, are now available for purchase.
Southwest is by far the dominant carrier at BWI. The airport has set seven straight monthly passenger records, and it broke an all-time annual record for passenger travel last year, with more than 23.8 million passengers.
In March, Southwest announced summer frequency increases for BWI flights to Denver, Hartford, Conn., Manchester, N.H., Nashville, Tenn., Oakland, Calif., Seattle, Wash., and Orlando and Tampa, Fla.
"We continue working with Southwest and our other airline partners to add air service for our customers," BWI CEO Ricky Smith said in a release. "These additional flights mean even more travelers can experience the convenience and value offered by Southwest and BWI Marshall Airport."
