Sandy Hillman Communications, a Baltimore-based public relations boutique, has opened a satellite office in Charlotte, N.C.
Hillary Schrum, a senior account executive at Sandy Hillman, will lead the new office but continue to work with such clients as the Arundel Mills and the Maryland Health Exchange.
"Our Charlotte office provides direct access to an important southern market that serves as home to a number of industry leading companies and fast-growing regional organizations," said Sandy Hillman, the agency's founder and president, in a statement. "This expansion will enable us to leverage our marketing communications expertise in the fields of tour, travel and hospitality, arts and culture and healthcare to grow the portfolio of top-tier clients we represent."
Before launching the agency in 2007, Hillman worked under former Baltimore Mayor William Donald Schaefer as executive director of the Baltimore Office of Promotion and Tourism.
The firm represents such national brands as Caesars Entertainment, Under Armour, The National WWII Museum, The National WWI Museum and Memorial, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Project Management Institute, among others.
