An $84 million hotel that will serve Johns Hopkins’ out-of-town patients and their families will officially open Thursday.
The 194-suite Residence Inn Baltimore, located at 800 N. Wolfe St., is an anchor in the 88-acre East Baltimore Development Inc. redevelopment zone near Hopkins’ medical campus. City, state and university leaders, and the property’s developers will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday to mark the hotel’s opening.
The 200,000-square-foot hotel was developed by LSH GE Gateway 2 LLC, Greenebaum Enterprises, Pyramid Hotel Group and Marriott Corp.
The hotel has a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom suites with full kitchens. Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, meeting rooms and complimentary grocery delivery service.
The building has 20,000 square feet of ground floor retail space and a rooftop restaurant, 16 on The Park, with a seafood-focused menu.
Construction began in 2015.
