Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. will collect old air conditioners and dehumidifiers at a recycling event in Columbia on Saturday.
BGE customers who drop off a working air conditioner window unit or dehumidifier will receive a $25 check per unit. There is a limit of two appliances per household.
Participants will receive their checks in the mail within six weeks after the event.
The recycling day takes place 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Columbia SportsPark, 5453 Harpers Farm Rd in Columbia.
