Former Perdue executive returns as president of Perdue Foods

Steve Evans will rejoin Perdue Farms Inc. as president of Perdue Foods LLC, the Salisbury-based company announced Thursday.

Evans, who starts May 31, has been CEO of Allen Harim Foods, a Seaford, Del.-based unit of South Korea's Harim Corp., since 2013. Before that he'd been with Perdue since 1985, most recently as senior vice president of sales and supply chain.

"We are thrilled to have Steve return to Perdue in this leadership position," said Randy Day, Perdue Farms' chief operating officer, in a statement. "I am confident Steve's experience in marketing and sales, his tenure as chief executive officer of Allen Harim Foods, and his personal understanding of our company's values and heritage will be invaluable as we manage the present and prepare for the future in our journey to be the most trusted named in premium proteins."

Perdue Foods packages and markets Perdue Farms' poultry under the Perdue, Harvestland and Coleman Natural Foods brands.
