Nationwide Infiniti in Timonium will hold a grand re-opening Thursday after a $3.5 million renovation.
The renovation, which took about a year to complete, modernizes the 27-year-old car dealership to meet Infiniti's latest design specifications.
"We did the whole place, from the shop to the showrooms — everything is new," said Bill Schaefer, president of Nationwide Motor Sales.
Updates include new car lifts and an expanded showroom that can hold up to 14 cars. The old showroom could display a max of nine or 10 cars, Schaefer said.
Schaefer opened Nationwide Infiniti, located at 22, W. Timonium Rd., in 1989. In addition to the Infiniti dealership, Schaefer owns Nissan, Kia and pre-owned dealerships, all under his Nationwide brand.
