Mosaic Community Services is taking a total patient approach to mental health and addiction treatment with the opening of a new $4 million integrated health center in Baltimore.
The 20,000-square-foot center, which began serving patients Monday, combines mental health, addictions, pain management and primary care services in what they call a seamless model of care that addresses the whole person.
The new Steven S. Sharfstein Center, M.D. Integrated Health Care Center is named after the CEO of The Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson. Mosaic is part of The Sheppard Pratt System. The new center is on the renovated first floor of Mosaic's N. Charles Street building.
Funding of the center came from donors including: The Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation, The Sheppard Pratt Health System, the State of Maryland and the Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, The Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Foundation and the France-Merrick Foundation.
