The developer renovating The Shops at Kenilworth in Towson will unveil a new mall entrance on Friday.
Developer Greenberg Gibbons said the new main entrance is a key part of the $20 million project to modernize the mall. The mall's exterior and interior is being updated.
The entrance is covered with domed wood ceilings and canopy lighting and faces Kenilworth Drive. It will be next to Trader Joe's grocery store, which is under construction and will relocate early next year from its current space at Towson Circle.
Mall reconstruction started last summer. Anchor store Stebbins Anderson already has finished remodeling. Kenilworth retailers are staying open during the renovation. The annual Holiday Train Garden will run from Nov. 19 to Jan. 6 this year.
Greenberg Gibbons began managing The Shops at Kenilworth in July 2014 and took on full ownership of the property in April 2015.
