Medical company plans two new addiction centers in Baltimore area

Health company Concerted Care Group, known for its heroin addiction treatment programs, said it plans to invest $8.6 million to open two new Baltimore area medical centers next year.

Part of a broader growth plan by the Baltimore-based company for the next two years, the new facilities would be in addition to its first location on E. 25th Street, which opened in February and serves more than 700 patients.

Concerted Care Group wants to increase access to mental health counseling and primary care with a focus on people suffering from addiction to heroin, opiates and other drugs.

"Most of our patients walk or take public transportation to our medical center," said Noah Nordheimer, president and CEO of Concerted Care Group, in a statement. "With the opening of two additional centers, our ability to reach the community at large and provide truly integrated care will be greatly improved."
