The Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore announced Thursday that Shannon Landwehr, the alliance's executive vice president, has been appointed the interim president and CEO.
Landwehr will replace Tom Sadowski, its current top executive, who has been apppointed vice chancellor for economic development for the University System of Maryland, starting May 2.
Landwehr joined the alliance in June 2015 from Morgan Stanley's Baltimore operation. She has more than 15 years of experience in finance, non-profits, strategic planning, marketing and consulting.
"We are confident that she will be a strong advocate for the organization and support the staff in a smooth transition," said Augie Chiasera, chairman of the EAGB, and regional president for M&T Bank.
The nonprofit alliance is a partnership of business executives, elected government officials and leaders from higher education working to improve the region's business retention and development, job creation and workforce development while fostering new investment.
