FutureCare selects former Oriole Dempsey as spokesperson for new program

FutureCare Health and Management Corp. has named Orioles' broadcaster and former player Rick Dempsey as spokesperson for VitalStrong, its new short-stay rehabilitation program.

VitalStrong offers clinical and rehabilitation services with the goal of helping patients quickly recover from surgery, injury or illness.

Dempsey already has filmed a commercial for VitalStrong and appears on FutureCare's website.

The former catcher played more than 20 years for the Orioles and other teams. He is now a broadcaster for the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network.

Headquartered in Pasadena, FutureCare operates 13 skilled nursing care centers in the Baltimore region with about 3,000 employees
