Nearly 2.1 million passengers traveled through Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in April, a 3.7 percent increase from April 2015 and the airport's 10th straight monthly record, officials said.
The airport was buoyed by customer growth at Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines and Spirit Airlines," spokesman Jonathan Dean said.
"The sustained growth at BWI Marshall is another indicator of the strength of the Maryland economy and our robust business climate," Gov. Larry Hogan said in a statement. "Growing air service helps attract more business travelers and tourists. Residents and businesses have more travel options with BWI Marshall as a growing international gateway."
The airport set an annual record with more than 23.8 million passengers flying through it in 2015.
