The Bowie Baysox — the Double-A Affiliate of the Orioles — said today the club is seeking a naming rights deal for Prince George's Stadium.
The club said in a news release that a naming agreement for the 10,000-seat stadium will allow the facility to preserve "high standards."
In recent years, the field has been replaced and new video boards added. The franchise — where top Orioles such as infielder Manny Machado and closer Zach Britton have played — won its first Eastern League Championship in 2015.
"We believe this is a great opportunity to form a partnership that will encourage economic growth and community development in the region," Baysox President Ken Young said in the release. "This investment partnership will be crucial to our future here in central Maryland.
"Our hope is to join with another established brand with an area presence to help achieve mutually beneficial goals."
The stadium is located about 20 miles from Washington, 30 miles from Baltimore and 15 miles from Annapolis.
