Bank of America shifts focus of Hunt Valley operation

Bank of America said it is changing the type of work its Hunt Valley employees do given the decline in refinancings as interests rates have risen.

Employees were told Wednesday that they would switch from home loan fulfillment to credit cards and other consumer deposit products, said spokeswoman Jumana Bauwens.

The Hunt Valley site employs 600 workers, with 500 of them affected by the reassignment of work.
