Allegiant Air will begin offering flights from BWI Airport Friday with fares as low as $44 to Cincinnati and Savannah/Hilton Head airports, the company said in a statement.
"We're very excited to begin our service at BWI," Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer said in the statement. "We also know that travelers in Cincinnati and Savannah / Hilton Head will use these new flights to conveniently and affordably fly nonstop to our nation's capital. We look forward to more new travelers experiencing Allegiant and our unique brand of low-cost travel."
The low-cost airline will begin offering the routes twice a week. Allegiant will also begin flying to BWI to Tulsa, Okla.; Asheville, N.C. and Knoxville, Tenn. in May. Flights to Lexington, Ky. in June.
"Allegiant is a growing airline that will bring more visitors and boost economic growth. Local residents will also enjoy convenient, low fare flights to new markets," said Ricky Smith, chief executive officer of BWI Marshall Airport said in a statement.
