Airmall announces new shops at BWI airport

BWI passengers will find new shops at the airport, offering popcorn, massages and sunglasses.

Several new retailers have opened at BWI Marshall Airport, including a massage spa and shops selling sunglasses and gourmet popcorn, concessions operator Airmall announced Friday.

NYS Collection, a sunglasses and eyewear boutique, opened in Concourse C. Popsations Popcorn Co., in Concourse A/B, sells small batch artisan popcorn in flavors such as Crabby Caramel and Classic Cheddar. The company is based in Timonium. And Be Relax Spa offers chair massages, manicures, and oxygen, aromatherapy and skin care treatments, such as one designed to fight fatigue from traveling.

The new tenants are expected to appeal to travelers and complement the existing mix of new and established brands at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, said Brett Kelly, vice president of Airmall Maryland.

"These new offerings will help ensure an excellent travel experience for our customers while offering more job opportunities to the Baltimore-Washington region," said BWI CEO Ricky Smith.

Airmall develops and manages the retail, food and beverage operations at BWI, Pittsburgh International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
