If you're considering a trip to Europe, you might want to work an Icelandic stop into your plans.
WOW Air, an Icelandic low-cost, transatlantic carrier, announced Thursday their program "WOW Stopover," a travel option that allows travelers to include a trip to Iceland in their plans without booking a separate flight.
On WOW Air's website, North American travelers can check a "stopover" box when searching for flights. With Reykjavik as the first destination, travelers then can select a date and location for a flight to their next destination.
"The introduction of our stopover program will give travelers from North America and Europe the opportunity to explore Iceland — a destination like no other," WOW Air CEO Skúli Mogensen said in a news release.
WOW Air operates out of Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, and three other locations in the U.S.
WOW also offers bookings for bus tours and activities in Iceland at tours.wowair.com.
