Continuing its push into global soccer, Under Armour said it has signed Swiss national football star Granit Xhaka to an endorsement deal.Xhaka, 23, is a midfielder for Borussia Mönchengladbach, a club in the German Bundesliga. He played in the 2014 World Cup for Switzerland.Media reports, such as this one from ESPN FC, say the player has not ruled out a move to the Premier League.Under Armour said Xhaka will debut its ClutchFit Force 2.0 boot against Hamburger SV this weekend."Granit is a hugely exciting young footballer who has an incredible future ahead of him," said Peter Murray, Under Armour's vice president for global brand and sports marketing.Xhaka's signing continues Under Armour's focus on identifying and signing rising young stars before the break out. Past successes include NBA basketball star Stephen Curry and now world No. 1 golfer Jordan Spieth. Last year, Under Armour signed Dutch soccer star Memphis Depay as he moved to Manchester United in England's Premier League.
