Under Armour extends with Utah, continuing westward push

Under Armour has signed a 10-year extension to outfit University of Utah athletics teams, continuing its westward push.

Utah was one of the Baltimore brand's first all-teams partners, signing in 2008. That year, Utah's football team went 13-0 and defeated  Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.

Under Armour is seeking to increase its presence in the west. Utah is in its sixth year in the Pac-12 Conference, the region's most visible league.

Under Armour has signed outfitting deals in the past with UCLA, Cal-Berkeley and Hawaii. The UCLA and Cal agreements begin in 2017.

The new Utah deal extends through June 2027. The initial five-year contract with Utah was extended in 2011 for another five years.

In a statement, Under Armour called Utah "an integral building block of our brand's growth in collegiate athletics."
