This is the 12 cylinder, 1500 HP engine that produces one megawatt of power, running on digester fuel. Baltimore's city government wants to build more "micro" power plants. These are tiny complexes capable of generating a few megawatts of electricity, enough to keep critical facilities going during outages and to lower power bills, like the one shown at the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant.
