Under Armour unveiled uniforms for the New York Cosmos 2016 season today at its Brand House store in New York.
The Baltimore-based brand had announced a partnership with the team earlier this month, marking Under Armour's first sponsorship of a U.S. professional soccer team. The sports apparel maker will design and make uniforms for the iconic team and outfit players with gear and apparel for training, the sidelines and travel.
The team will debut the white uniform at its season opener at Hofstra Stadium on April 3 against Ottawa Fury FC.
Under Armour designs uniforms for soccer teams outside U.S., including Tottenham Hotspur F.C., São Paulo FC, Colo-Colo and Cruz Azul. And it sponsors individual players, including Memphis Depay of Manchester United, Granit Xhaka of Borussia Mönchengladbach and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup winners Lauren Holiday and Kelley O'Hara.
The partnership with the Cosmos comes on the heels of the brand's first-ever soccer campaign, "Slay Your Next Giant," launched last fall.
