Under Armour launches limited edition anniversary football cleats

Under Armour's limited edition football cleats refuse to be ignored.

The Baltimore sports apparel maker has put out anniversary edition Highlight and Spotlight shoes to mark a series of milestones.

There's solid gold for Super Bowl 50, coming up Sunday and an expected marketing bonanza for Under Armour thanks to Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who'll be wearing Under Armour cleats.

The Platinum collection comes in metallic silver, a design marking 20 years since Under Armour sold its first sweat-wicking T-shirt.

A third collection features shades of brown -- representing wood and the five years the brand has been selling the Highlight, which it calls "the cleat that transformed the game."

And for those who want to be truly unique, a floral-patterned cleat bursts with shades of fuchsia and lime, a nod to the Pro Bowl.

The brand launched the collections on its website today. Highlights sell for $140 and Spotlights for $130.
