Giants catcher Buster Posey will be face of Under Armour baseball at Dick's Sporting Goods

San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey will become the face of Under Armour's baseball collection at Dick's Sporting Goods under an extended endorsement deal announced today.

Posey, only the second player ever in Major League Baseball to win Rookie of the Year, National League MVP and three World Series titles, has signed a multi-year agreement. Besides promoting the baseball line at Dick's, he will wear Under Armour baseball gear on the field and in training and promote the brand's connected fitness efforts.

The athlete is one of three catchers ever to catch three no-hitters and and win three World Series titles. He first signed with the sports apparel maker in 2008 when he turned professional.

"Buster is everything a team could ask for in a model baseball player," Ryan Kuehl, Under Armour vice president of global category sports marketing, said in an announcement today. "His accomplishments speak for themselves, and Buster's humility, hunger and never-ending focus on being a better athlete and teammate every day are the values Under Armour was built on."

The brand's extension with Posey follows another announced earlier this month with Washington National's right fielder Bryce Harper. Other faces of Under Armour include Stephen Curry, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, Jordan Spieth, Clayton Kershaw and Lindsey Vonn.

Posey said in the announcement that the brand has "been by my side through the last seven incredible years."

"I'm looking forward to continuing my relationship with Under Armour well into the future," he said.
