Exelon building window falls injuring two people

A window shattered and fell from the Exelon headquarters building at Harbor Point last week, injuring two employees and prompting a wide-scale inspection. Chris Seiler, a spokesman for Beatty Development Group, said an eighth-floor window shattered and small pieces fell to the ground on Wednesday. The company has erected scaffolding around the building so workers feel safe as inspectors go over all 7,500 windows on the tower. The building opened two years ago for Exelon's 1,500 workers. There also are 103 apartments in the building and ground-level retail shops. “The safety of our employees and the public is our top priority,” said Seiler.
