Columbia-Howard chapter of PFLAG receives award

The Columbia-Howard County chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays received an education award from PFLAG National at its recent national convention in Arlington, Va. The local chapter was recognized for its work educating the Howard County Police Department on transgender sensitivity and the Howard County Public Schools Student Support Services on the challenges faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students.
