The HCYP Raiders 15-U Metro baseball team finished a successful 2011 season on a very high note by winning the ECTB Clash of Champions tournament July 16-17, in Allentown, PA. The Raiders went 5-0 in the tournament and won the championship game, 14-6.

This was a 22-team tournament and the Raiders beat teams from Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey to advance to the championship game against the Delaware Sabres.

Pitching leaders on the Raiders during the tournament were Michael Dorsch (Marriotts Ridge High School), Mo Thomas (Broadneck), Alex Melcher (Glenelg), Dylan Waddell (Glenelg) and Matt Boxall (Glenelg). The Raiders' offense and defense was led by Wes Carson (Marriotts Ridge), David Brookhart (Glenelg), Colby Manekin (McDonogh), Miguel Flores (Glenelg Country School), Nathan Check (River Hill), Will Seiferth (Glenelg Country School) and Peter Crawford (Mount St. Joseph).

Injuries prevented Marty Stevenson (Mt. Hebron) and Garrett Hansen (Broadneck) from participating in the tournament.
