During the hearings to see if Walgreens would be allowed to locate a store at Route 175 and Thunder Hill Road, the audience was told a number of times that Walgreens must have access from Thunder Hill Road. Many of the residents were concerned about the safety of putting a driveway so close to Route 175 and what it would do to the traffic patterns.

Within the first week since the opening, there have been at least two accidents. One was minor where the drivers just exchanged information. One was major requiring the police and tow trucks.

Drivers have tried to use the entrance driveway to exit into oncoming cars from Thunder Hill Road and at least one driver decided to make a right turn from the left lane causing traffic to come to a halt.

I am sure others have their own stories to tell. Let's hope everyone learns how to get to and leave Walgreens very soon.
