This has been a year of changes at Patuxent Publishing, and you’re looking at one of them.

ArtForm has a new home and a new form, though we hope it will still be a  place you’ll want to visit.

The word change reminds me of the story about a middle-aged woman who suffers a fatal heart attack, but because she has lived so selflessly, God grants her another 50 years of life, provided she spend it all on herself, in any way she wishes.

So she enrolls in an art class and a piano class and starts working on a new degree in night school. Then she gets a tummy tuck and a facelift and a boob job and she is so thrilled about her new life that she runs out to her car without watching and BAM! she is squashed under a bus.

“I thought you promised me another 50 years?” she screams at God, who answers, “I’m sorry, I didn’t recognize you.”

We promise to keep re-inventing ourselves here at ArtForm. But we’ll try hard not to become something you wouldn’t recognize.
