Man injured in Edgewood apartment fire

One man was injured in an Edgewood apartment fire Tuesday afternoon, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Firefighters were called at about 4 p.m. to the 1000 block of Magnolia Woods Lane, where smoke was showing from the three-story apartment building, according to a statement from the volunteer fire and EMS association.

A man suffering from burns was already outside, and was taken to Burn Center at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, according to the statement. His injuries are non life-threatening, said Dave Williams, spokesman with the association.

Firefighters searched the building and found no other victims.

The fire was contained to the kitchen of a third floor apartment. No additional injuries were reported.

Crews cleared the scene at 5:30 p.m.
