Rob Windsor, CEO of First Financial Federal Credit Union, has been appointed to the Maryland and D.C. Credit Union Association Board of Directors. He has been CEO of First Financial Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Lutherville, since 1996. Windsor fills a seat vacated in June 2010. In accordance with Association bylaws, Windsor will fill the position for the remaining term, which expires in 2012.

Jennifer Albright, of Woodstock, has received a $2,500 scholarship from the George E. Sonnefeld Foundation Inc. Awards are made to college-bound high school seniors who love the game of golf and live in the Greater Baltimore area. Albright is a graduate of Marriotts Ridge High School, who was a member of the National Honor Society and an Advanced Placement Scholar. She was a four-year Varsity starter for the golf team, served as captain for three years and also played on the varsity tennis team for two years. She will be attending Elon University in the Honors Business Program.

The Restaurant Association of Maryland presented awards May 16 at the 57th Annual McCormick and Co. Stars of the Industry Awards Gala, held at Martin's West, in Baltimore. The annual awards gala is an event of industry recognition that spotlights the industry's influence as a part of the nation's foundation of opportunity. Local award winners included The Crab Shanty Restaurant, of Ellicott City, 2011 Green Restaurant of the Year; William King III of The Crab Shanty Restaurant, of Ellicott City, The Schellhase Award; and Elinn Hesse, of Howard County ARL, Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation ProStart Student of the Year.
