Anne V. Weikart, artist, dies

Anne V. Weikart, a homemaker and watercolorist, died March 2 of complications from a stroke at a hospice in North Fort Myers, Fla.

The longtime Pasadena resident was 82.

Mrs. Weikart had been vacationing in Fort Myers when she suffered the stroke three weeks before her death.

Anne Duvall Vickers, the daughter of a builder and a homemaker, was born in Baltimore and raised in Roland Park.

She was a 1947 graduate of Roland Park Country School and attended what was then Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Va., for two years.

She was married in 1950 to George S. Weikart, who later retired from the DuPont Co., where he was a manufacturing supervisor.

Mrs. Weikart studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

"She was a very fine painter and watercolorist who was known for her various skills," said her husband.

She enjoyed playing bridge.

For many years, Mrs. Weikart volunteered with Meals On Wheels of Central Maryland.

Mrs. Weikart was a member of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Weikart is survived by three sons, Steven Weikart of Dover, Del., Chris Weikart of Newton, Mass., and G. Scott Weikart of Palo Alto, Calif.; a daughter, Laura Marcus Mountjoy of Overland Park, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
