Edgewood fire damages three apartments

A fire at an Edgewood apartment building Saturday morning left three units damaged, a fire official said.

Firefighters responded just before 6:30 a.m. to the 1700 block Crimson Tree Way, where they found a blaze in the attic of a quad-style apartment building.

No one was injured, said Derrick Lloyd, chief of the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Co., but the roof over three units was damaged before the one-alarm fire could be brought under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
