Harford sheriff raids meth lab

Harford County law enforcement officers raided a methamphetamine laboratory in Fallston Saturday and arrested three people in what police called an ongoing investigation.

Armed with a search and seizure warrant, members of the county sheriff's Special Response Team and County Task Force entered a residence in the 2000 block of Durham Road at 4:30 a.m. Inside, they found a cache of weapons, including handguns, assault rifles, homemade silencers and a grenade launcher.

Police also discovered what they described as "several thousand dollars" worth of crystal methamphetamine in a bedroom closet. The Jarrettsville and Whiteford volunteer fire companies responded. Also present were members of the county Hazardous Materials Response Team and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The names of those charged were not released Monday.
