20-year-old in serious condition after Edgewood shooting

A 20-year-old man was listed in serious condition after a shooting in Edgewood Thursday night, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

After 911 calls reporting a fight and shots fired near the 800 block of Fishermans Lane, sheriff's deputies found Aberdeen resident Coty Williams with a gunshot wound in the lower torso, according to the sheriff's office.

Williams was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and as of 8:30 p.m., he was in surgery.

Deputies also believe another man was shot superficially in the arm, but he fled the scene, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office has detained a person of interest in connection with the shooting, but no additional information was available.
